報告人簡介：美國紐約洲立大學奧爾巴尼分校數學與統計系教授、美國數學會會士，主要從事解析函數空間上的算子理論、複分析與算子代數等方向的研究工作，出版8部高水平著作，其中3部是國際上數學專業研究生的标準教材（GTM199，GTM226，GTM263），另外MSM138在國内外很多高校選作分析方向研究生的标準教材， 産生了廣泛的影響。 在Bull. Amer. Math. Soc., Amer. J. Math., J. Funct. Anal., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.等著名刊物發表130多篇高水平學術論文。主持完成5項美國國家自然科學基金項目和作為主要成員參與完成國家自然科學基金重點國際(地區)合作與交流項目；出任多個SCI雜志主編、副主編，是國際分析數學領域傑出的數學家。

内容簡介：A closed subspace M
of the Hardy space H2(D2) over the bidisk is called a submodule if it is invariant under multiplication by coordinate functions z and w. Whether every finitely generated submodule is Hilbert Schmidt is an unsolved open problem. This report will present some new developments and results on the problem.

報告人簡介：大連理工大學數學科學學院教授，博士生導師，遼甯應用數學中心主任。國家高層次人才特殊支持計劃（萬人計劃）教學名師, 國務院政府津貼專家，國務院數學學科評議組成員，教育部數學基礎課教學指導委員會委員。排名第一獲國家教學成果二等獎1項、遼甯省教學成果一等獎2項和遼甯省科學技術三等獎1項。主編的《複變函數》（第三版）獲國家首屆教材獎二等獎，主講的《數學分析》獲國家線下一流課程。遼甯省優秀博士論文指導教師，遼甯省數學專業教學指導委員會主任委員。主要研究領域是泛函分析，研究興趣集中在函數空間上算子理論和算子代數以及Hilbert 空間的控制理論和應用，在算子的不變子空間、約化子空間以及套代數框架下的控制理論等方面取得了很好的成果。已完成主持各類國家自然科學基金16項，發表高水平學術論文120餘篇。目前主持在研國家自然科學基金重點項目1項。
