題  目：On asymptotic behavior of principal eigenvalues for elliptic operators

内容簡介：The study on the qualitative properties of principal eigenvalues for second order elliptic operators has a long history. In recent years there are some growing interest in investigating the asymptotic behaviors of such principal eigenvalues with small diffusion or large advection rates. In this talk we will give a brief review and discuss some recent works along this line. This talk is mainly based on joint works with Shuang Liu (Beijing Institute of Technology) and Maolin Zhou (Nankai University).

報告人簡介：上海交通大學數學科學學院院長、講席教授。1988年獲北京大學理學學士學位、1991年獲北京大學理學碩士學位、1995年畢業于美國明尼蘇達大學獲博士學位。1995-1998年美國數學科學研究所及芝加哥大學博士後、1998-2021年任教于俄亥俄州立大學數學系，2008年起任教授。曾任美國數學生物研究所副所長，中國工業與應用數學學會數學生命科學專委會共同主任。研究興趣是反應擴散方程及其在生物學中的應用，發表學術論文150餘篇。目前擔任Discrete Continuous Dynamical System-B共同主編、中國工業與應用數學學會會刊CSIAM-Life Sciences執行主編，及CSIAM-Applied Math、European Journal of Applied Math、Journal of Differential Equations、Journal of Math Biology、SIAM Journal of Applied Math等期刊編委。
